How to Play
On the introduction page, choose your paint jobs and set up your flight parameters. When ready, just press "Fly". Please note that disabling reflection will help Sportstar Simulator run faster on slow computers. You can enlarge or reduce the size of the window to scale the simulator display. A small window will also help Sportstar Simulator run faster. |
Controls
Use the mouse as your control stick. Use the '+' and '-' keys to set the throtle. At 0 RPM, the engine stops. Just press '+' to start the engine. On the ground, use the space bar to brake. |

Use the 'S' key to switch views. 3 different cameras are provided : follow view, fixed view and cockpit camera.
In 'follow view' and 'cockpit view' you can click and drag the mouse to pan the camera around. The camera will reset to its original position immediately after releasing the mouse button. To pause the game and display the settings panel, just press 'P'. To resume the game, click on 'FLY'. |
Display and Instruments
The indicated air speed and altitude are displayed in the upper left hand corner of the main window. FPS means Frames Per Second and indicates how fast the game runs on your computer. The optimum FPS of Sportstar Simulator is 30. A yellow arrow is displayed in the upper right hand corner. The arrow always points towards the airfield. If you are lost, simply follow the direction indicated. |

The Sportstar's instrument panel displays realistic flight data.
The IAS (Indicated Air Speed), altitude and climbing speed are the most useful values. The compass helps you to navigate. The engine RPM (Rotations Per Minute) indicates the throtle settings. |
